    Job Title

    Travel RN – Cardiac Step-Down (IMC/PCU)

    Location

    Asheville, North Carolina

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Full-Time | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 15-bed Cardiac Step-Down unit with a 3–4:1 RN-to-patient ratio
    • Monitor and manage patients post-EP lab and post-cath lab procedures
    • Operate and manage telemetry monitoring, sheaths, and intravenous drips (gtts)
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge RNs and Patient Care Technicians during night shift
    • Document all patient care activities accurately using Cerner EMR
    • Float to all Med-Surg and Step-Down units as needed per staffing requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, IMC, or Step-Down setting
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
    • Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, sheath management, and IV drip administration
    • Availability to work 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior charge nurse experience in a cardiac or step-down environment
    • Experience with Cerner EMR
    • Background in post-EP lab or post-cath lab patient care
