    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Patient Care Unit (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

    Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | 6:30 PM Start Time | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed private unit, including floor beds and Medical Decision Unit beds, with a patient ratio of 1:4 (1:5 stretch)
    • Care for a diverse patient population including COPD exacerbation, CHF, swing bed patients (wound care, amputations, long-term antibiotics), as well as some postpartum and pediatric patients
    • Perform telemetry monitoring utilizing central telemetry and portable tele monitors
    • Document patient care using Meditech Expanse; operate Alaris infusion pumps
    • May float to the Emergency Department in a task nurse capacity only
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Case Managers, Social Services, Therapy, Lab, and Pharmacy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit
    • Previous experience working in a Critical Access Hospital required
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
    • ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
    • Reliable personal transportation is required — ride-share services are not available in this area
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • PALS certification (American Heart Association) preferred
    • Experience with swing bed patient populations, including wound care and long-term antibiotic management
    • Familiarity with Meditech Expanse charting system
