Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for medically complex and surgically delicate patients including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications
• Manage an average patient load of 3 high-acuity patients within a Progressive Critical Care setting
• Administer and titrate advanced drips including antihypertensives, sedatives, Narcan, and thrombolytics per unit protocols, including pressor management
• Monitor and manage advanced hemodynamic parameters including arterial lines (A-line), CVP, and EVD
• Operate and manage respiratory support modalities including HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxygen-dependent equipment
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and manage orthopedic traction as applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York State
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown setting
• Epic EMR experience required
• ACLS certification required
• Competency assessment must be completed within 24 hours of submission (sent to candidate's email)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must not reside in an ineligible local county — local candidates are not being accepted for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a large-scale adult PCU environment
• Background in a community hospital ICU setting
• Familiarity with EVD management and orthopedic traction care
