Job Title

Travel RN – Progressive Critical Care (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to medically complex and surgically delicate patients in a Progressive Critical Care Unit, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications
  • Manage advanced hemodynamic monitoring and titration protocols, including pressor usage, antihypertensive drips, sedative drips, and thrombolytics
  • Monitor and maintain arterial lines (A-line), central venous pressure (CVP), external ventricular drains (EVD), and orthopedic traction
  • Operate and manage respiratory support equipment including HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxygen-dependent devices
  • Adhere to infection prevention protocols and unit-specific care standards
  • Maintain an average patient load of 3 high-acuity patients per shift
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a PCU, IMC, or Step-Down setting
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR (required)
  • Competency in advanced hemodynamics, titration protocols, and care of both medical and surgical patient populations
  • Must complete a required competency test within 24 hours of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience in a large-scale adult PCU environment
  • Background in community hospital ICU settings
  • Familiarity with Narcan drips, thromboembolic management, and EVD monitoring
