Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit / Stepdown setting during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely in accordance with facility protocols and competency standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Rotate holiday coverage on an every-other-holiday basis
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in a PCU, Stepdown, or IMC setting
- Active and unencumbered Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license – must be in hand at time of submission
- Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – must be in hand at time of submission
- Active AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – must be in hand at time of submission
- Must achieve an acceptable score on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation (maximum of 2 attempts)
- No open background or license hits; background review conducted by facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PCU/Stepdown experience concentrated within a single facility location
- Familiarity with annual nursing competency requirements and module-based continuing education
