Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (IMCU/PCU) – New York
Start Date: December 7, 2026
Location: Utica, New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 48 hours per week. Floating to other units may be required based on facility needs.
Highlights:
- 64-bed Intermediate Care Unit with 15 designated neuro beds serving a diverse patient population
- Complex case mix including neuro, cardiac, trauma, respiratory conditions (COPD), DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative care
- Exposure to specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, Neptune, and chronic ventilators with respiratory therapy support
- EPIC electronic medical record system in use facility-wide
- Adult patient population (18 years and older)
- Local candidates welcome; competitive local rate packages available for those residing within 75 miles
Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered New York RN license (verification via NURSYS required)
- Minimum 2+ years of recent IMCU/PCU nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to float to other units as needed
