Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) nurse in a hospital setting. This role involves providing high-acuity patient care to neurological, cardiovascular, and medical-surgical patients. The position requires active VA or compact licensing and offers an opportunity for travel professionals to gain valuable clinical experience in a teaching hospital environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid VA or compact license, 2 years of clinical experience in IMCU or related units, active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, experience with Cerner EMR system preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience, additional certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) are a plus
  • Additional Information:
    • All applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the IMCU or similar setting
    • Must be available to work from 10/05/2026 through 02/20/2027, including at least one major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years Day)
    • Submission requirements include work history, explaining any work gaps over 90 days, Skills Checklist, and a copy of Nursys/license
    • Orientation occurs every other Monday, unless otherwise posted
    • Travel is required, and the traveler must be flexible with the possibility of up to 20-week assignments to support unit staffing during the holiday season
