Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intermediate Care (IMC) team. This position involves caring for a wide variety of patients with diverse medical needs, including chronic and acute conditions across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an intermediate care setting.
• Manage a patient ratio of 3:1, ensuring individual attention and care for each patient.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry for dysrhythmias.
• Support ventilator management and patient stabilization.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate effective communication with patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Current WV RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
• Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and ventilator care is essential.
• Ability to float to various units as needed.
• Flexibility to work 3x12 hour shifts starting at 7 AM, including every other weekend.

• Orientation sessions are conducted bi-weekly on Thursdays.
• Blocked schedule requests may be accommodated.
• 36-hour guaranteed contract options available.

• Holiday requests are limited to one of the three major holidays.
• Participation in COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis for medical or religious reasons.
• Mandatory flu shot compliance, with medical documentation required for refusals.
