Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in intermediate care unit (IMCU) at a healthcare facility in Reno, NV. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring moderately complex assessments and interventions. The role requires delivering clinical excellence within a fast-paced, high-volume environment, focusing on patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 3x12 shift, Days, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: NV RN license required prior to start; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years of IMCU/Stepdown experience; experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, arterial lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management; passing an ECG/Telemetry exam including rhythm strip interpretation; prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Medical or neuro intensive care unit experience preferred.
- Additional Information: Travel may require floating to different units based on organizational needs. Holiday work may be necessary, with availability required for at least two of the three major holidays. The position involves working in a busy, Level II Trauma Center environment with a focus on complex patient care, remote from local facilities, serving a broad regional area. Flexibility around shift timings, including weekends and holidays, is expected.
