Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/HVTI unit setting, with potential to float to additional units caring for the same patient population
  • Perform ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation, achieving acceptable scores on both evaluations
  • Participate in rotating day and night shifts as operationally needed, with the facility making reasonable efforts to honor preferred shift selection
  • Work at least every other holiday as part of the standard scheduling expectation
  • Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules as applicable
Required Qualifications
  • Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license - must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
  • Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or directly applicable specialty
  • Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
  • Active ACLS certification required
  • Active NIHSS certification required
  • One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months - co-worker references will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience concentrated within a single facility or location (combined experience considered)
  • Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and electronic medication safety platforms
  • Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity stepdown or progressive care environment
