Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Step-Down unit setting with patient ratios typically 1:3-4 on days and 1:5 on nights, depending on acuity
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, intervening appropriately based on changes in acuity level
  • Float as needed to MedSurg, Telemetry, and Emergency Department (boarding) units
  • Adhere to holiday coverage requirements as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications
  • Active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - must be active
  • Minimum of 2 years of PCU/Step-Down experience
  • Requested time off (RTO) not to exceed 7 days for the duration of the contract
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience floating to MedSurg, Telemetry, or Emergency Department environments
  • Familiarity with varying patient acuity levels and dynamic staffing environments
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced setting
