Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 on days through 2300 and 1:5-6 on nights after 2300
• Nurse aides available on unit with ratios of 1:10 on days, 1:10-12 on evenings, and 1:15 after 2300
• No self-scheduling; block scheduling available if it meets unit needs
• Floating requirements as needed based on unit census
• No on-call or standby requirement unless it is an extra shift
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital environment required
• Experience with post-procedural cath lab patients required, including management of TR band compression devices
• Experience with post-cardiac surgical patients required
• Common patient diagnoses include cardiac medical and surgical cases such as post cath lab (stent, pacemaker, ICD, watchman, mitral clip, TAVR), post cardiac surgery (CABG, valve replacements), AFib, chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, syncope, and bradycardia with temporary pacemaker
• Required to titrate drips including Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, and Dobutamine (no vasopressors)
• 24/7 central telemetry unit monitors all non-critical care patients and manages strips
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for nebulizers, inhalers, CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm; RNs responsible for incentive spirometry
• Charting system: Cerner
• No scrubs provided and no required scrub color
• Orientation includes 1 shift of HR onboarding and 1 shift on the unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)

Facility:

This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering comprehensive medical and surgical services. The 3N MS/IMC unit consists of 29 beds and specializes in cardiac medical and surgical patient care, supported by a 24/7 central telemetry unit and around-the-clock respiratory therapy services. The facility is equipped with the Cerner charting system and maintains high standards of patient care across a range of complex cardiac conditions.
