IMC Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Information

• Role: IMC RN
• Specialty: General Intermediate Level of Care
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: As needed
• Call Requirements: None
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years, with prior travel experience
• Float Requirements: May float to appropriate similar units at IMC level or lower as needed

Education & Certifications Required

• Certifications: BLS
• Education Modules: Mandatory onboarding education required

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 12 beds on the IMC side, total 36 beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:3 for IMC patients; 1:4-5 on the med-surg side during the day and 1:5-6 at night
• Equipment: Telemetry, BIPAP, Hi-Flow O2, Insulin drips for DKA protocol
• EMR: Epic

Hiring Profile

• Must Have Skills/Experience: IMC experience and at least one prior travel assignment at med-surg level or higher
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: IMC travel experience preferred
• Type of Patients on Unit: Respiratory, Medical Telemetry, some surgical cases, sepsis, DKA, Altered Mental Status, Failure to Thrive, Respiratory Failure, and various acute on chronic medical conditions
• Personality Fit: Team-oriented, flexible, accountable, strong communication skills, patient-centered approach, and a proactive attitude
