Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required; holidays as needed | No call required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry setting
- Monitor and manage patients pre- and post-Cardiac Catheterization, CABG, and TAVR procedures
- Administer and manage cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Cardizem, and Dopamine
- Continuously monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient cardiac status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Required Qualifications- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license - must be verified via Nursys upload within the last 2 weeks
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required - must be AHA or ARC accredited with valid expiration dates
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Telemetry and/or PCU Stepdown experience required
- Demonstrated experience with cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Heparin, Cardizem, and Dopamine - no exceptions
- Experience with pre- and post-procedural care for Cardiac Cath, CABG, and TAVR patients
- Local candidates are welcome; candidates within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local rate
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-acuity cardiac or progressive care unit
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems and rhythm interpretation
- Strong communication and documentation skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
