Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a cardiac stepdown setting, monitoring and managing patients requiring telemetry and cardiac observation
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in alignment with unit protocols
  • Accurately document patient information and clinical findings using EPIC
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
  • Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license - must be verifiable via Nursys (uploaded within the last 2 weeks)
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required - must be AHA or ARC issued with valid expiration dates
  • Minimum 2 years of cardiac and/or telemetry nursing experience
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
  • Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered at a local rate; local candidates are accepted
  • Two professional references obtained within the last year required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in a cardiac stepdown or progressive care unit
  • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
  • Experience working in a high-volume acute care environment
