Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day/evening shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Schedule is Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
• Patient ratio is 1:3 on days, nights, and weekends
• Rotate between two units: D6/5 IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and B4/3 IMC Thoracic Surgery unit
• Care for patients with lung and esophageal diseases, lobectomies, decortications, esophagectomies, and other thoracic procedures
• Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion in the procedure room located within the unit
• Manage a variety of skills including arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, titration of vasoactive and insulin drips, wound care, and more
• Utilize Epic charting system
• Float as needed
• Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• ICU or IMC and surgical post-op experience required
• Thoracic experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher (two attempts allowed)
• Wisconsin RN or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA only)
