Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Wausau, WI. This 13-week contract position involves providing specialized nursing care on a Med Surg Intermediate Care unit featuring heavy telemetry and a variety of complex patient conditions. The role requires demonstrating resilience, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: IMCU RN at a Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with 36 beds, heavy telemetry, and a range of patient conditions including sepsis, trauma, GI bleed, chest tubes, TBI, and stroke.
- Required Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS from the American Heart Association or ARC, minimum of 2+ years of experience including Stepdown, Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) experience, Ventilator/Trach experience, and minimum of 1 prior travel experience.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Must have at least 2 years of experience, including stepdown or intermediate care, with ICU experience preferred. Trauma Level II experience is preferred. Must be capable of managing independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and handle complex patient care such as ventilator and trach management. Charting preferred using EPIC.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate resilience, resilience, and the ability to manage change well. Ability to work independently while completing tasks timely is required.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
