Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry monitoring
  • Manage a patient population that may include stable/weaning ventilator and trach patients, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
  • Maintain a 4:1 patient ratio, including management of insulin drips and primary patient assignments
  • Float to higher-acuity inpatient units across the facility as needed
  • Adhere to all facility infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined
  • Work every other weekend and every other holiday as part of the standard schedule
Required Qualifications
  • Active Wisconsin RN License required
  • BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
  • Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience required - no exceptions
  • Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience required
  • Ventilator and trach experience required
  • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • ICU experience preferred
  • Trauma Level II experience preferred
  • Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
