Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,311 per week in Anchorage, AK

This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity progressive care environment where you'll utilize advanced critical care skills while caring for a diverse patient population. Equipment includes bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, heated high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, and feeding pumps.

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit – Alaska

Start Date: September 15, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 13-week assignment. Every other weekend required (4 weekend shifts per month). Patient ratio of 3:1.

Highlights:

• High-acuity progressive care unit (step-down ICU) with 19 beds and comprehensive critical care equipment
• Advanced patient care including telemetry monitoring, BiPap/ventilator support, titratable drips, and tracheostomy management
• EPIC EMR system utilized for documentation
• Float to cardiac surgery IMC, medical-telemetry, medical-surgical, and ortho-neuro units as needed
• Equipment includes bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, heated high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, and feeding pumps
• Collaborative team environment with dedicated charge nurse support on every shift

Requirements:

• Permanent Alaska RN license required at time of submission (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of step-down ICU/IMC/PCU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Alaska RN fingerprints must be completed during onboarding
• Experience with titratable drips (dopamine, dobutamine, nitroglycerin, cardene, heparin, amiodarone, etc.) preferred
• Experience with tracheostomy patients requiring continuous BiPap or long-term ventilator support preferred
• Experience with CIWA assessments and alcohol/drug withdrawal treatment preferred
