Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and demonstrate strong dysrhythmia recognition skills
Manage patients on critical drips in accordance with unit protocols
Utilize GE cardiac monitoring equipment, Hospira IV pumps, and the Expanse EMR system
Float as needed to Med/Surg, ICU (border patients), and the Emergency Department (ED holds)
Collaborate with a team of RNs and LNAs, adapting to census-based staffing flexes
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - active Compact (multi-state) license required at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a hospital setting
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
NIHSS (NIAH) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patient care experience
Pacemaker patient care experience
Prior experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
