Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3-4:1 (PCU) or 4-5:1 (MedSurg)
- Perform drip titration for clinicians experienced in this skill; those without this experience may be assigned to MedSurg/Tele units
- Utilize unit equipment including EPIC, PYXIS, Philips Bedside Monitors, and Philips defibrillator
- Participate in a Jumpstart orientation program and EPIC training, followed by 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation
- Float to like units (e.g., MedSurg) as needed based on census and staffing requirements
- Adhere to dress code requirements: Caribbean blue scrubs
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of PCU or Med/Tele nursing experience
- Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS certification required
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard contract rate; candidates within 50 miles may be subject to a local rate adjustment
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous cardiac nursing experience
- Experience with drip titration in a progressive care or stepdown setting
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
