Job TitleRegistered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Step-Down)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Step-Down unit setting
- Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- Candidates with fewer than 2 years of RN experience must have prior travel nursing experience
- Must reside at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a PCU, Step-Down, or IMC setting
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythms
