Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Multi Trauma Unit serving a highly complex, acutely ill patient population
• Manage and monitor patients requiring vents, IV pumps, feeding pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction, and chest tubes
• Perform and assist with procedures including chest tube placement, bedside bronchoscopy, and tracheostomy/suction management
• Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, and support staff to maintain expected patient ratios of 1:4 (charge nurse free of patients)
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech / CPN EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in Colorado
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Experience managing trauma patients, chest tubes, and tracheostomies
• Team-oriented mindset with comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
