Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Stroke & Brain unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
Monitor and interpret telemetry and manage patients requiring cardiac drips
Care for stroke and neurological patients, applying NIHSS assessment skills
Utilize unit equipment including Welch Allyn VS Machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, Bladder Scanner, and Doppler
Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
Float to other units within demonstrated competency areas per facility floating policy
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Missouri or compact equivalent
NIHSS certification required
ACLS certification required
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of RN experience
Demonstrated stroke experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience managing cardiac drips and basic dysrhythmia recognition
Neurology nursing background
Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
