Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) position. The role requires a compassionate individual committed to providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  • Monitor patient conditions and interpret EKG rhythms for early detection of potential issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement effective patient care plans.
  • Float to Medical-Surgical (MedSurg) and telemetry areas as required.
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Shift Details

This is a day shift position consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts, with scheduled hours from 07:00 to 19:30.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required; CPI certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required, with travel experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam, achieving a minimum overall score of 80% and a perfect score on lethal rhythms.

Additional Information

  • Every other third weekend is required.
  • Patient-to-nurse ratios: MedSurg 1:6, IMC 1:3 or 1:4.
  • Flu vaccination is required for all employees.
