Intermediate Care Registered Nurse (IMC RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for an Intermediate Care Unit. This position requires a committed individual who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and can provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for patients in the Intermediate Care Unit.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and EKG rhythms.
  • Float to Telemetry and/or Medical-Surgical units as needed, maintaining a professional bedside manner.
  • Ensure that care is in compliance with established standards and protocols.
  • Participate in patient and family education, promoting health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive care.

Qualifications

  • Current Active Registered Nurse License.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in PCU/IMC/Stepdown settings.
  • Must have completed at least 1 travel nursing assignment.
  • Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with an overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
  • Availability to work every other weekend, with flexibility based on operational needs.

Working Conditions

This position requires working night shifts (3x12-hour) and may involve floating to different units based on patient care needs.

Additional Information

  • Flu vaccination is mandatory for this position.
  • IMC nurse to patient ratio is 1:4.
  • Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units typically maintain a 1:5/1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
