Key Responsibilities

• Float between approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments across multiple metro campuses as a dedicated float pool clinician - no home unit assigned
• Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown settings, managing conditions including Sepsis, Stroke, AFIB, Renal Failure, GIB, and COVID
• Perform cardiac monitoring duties including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and unit-based telemetry monitoring
• Assist with Pre/Post Cardiac Cath care and wound care as needed
• Fulfill holiday shift and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Complete expected weekend shifts - 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period, across a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license - both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission
• Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers considered
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with sheath removal (Cardiovascular)
• Feeding tube care and management (Gastrointestinal)
• Port access, blood product administration, and central line care/management
