Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 45-bed Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 4-5 patients per nurse on both day and night shifts
Manage cardiac drips and cardiac catheters in accordance with unit protocols
Perform chest tube management, wound care, and administration of TPN/lipids
Utilize cardiac monitoring equipment, lifts, and Dynamap devices as part of routine patient care
Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians in a team-oriented environment
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of Colorado
Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
Cardiac and/or ICU experience strongly preferred
Prior experience with Meditech EMR
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
