Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Utah
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Millcreek, Utah
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 4:1 patient ratio; 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week period; holiday rotation
Highlights:
- 34-bed Progressive Care Unit with dedicated telemetry monitoring support and patient care technicians on each shift
- Comprehensive case mix including cardiac, neurological, and post-procedure patients requiring continuous monitoring
- EPIC documentation system with streamlined workflow and clinical decision support
- Work in a facility designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and Level II Trauma Center
- Charge nurse available without assignment when census allows for enhanced staff support
- Float within competency to ensure appropriate skill match and patient safety
Requirements:
- Current Utah RN License or compact state licensure
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required
- Strong telemetry interpretation skills and cardiac monitoring experience
- Experience managing progressive care patients including cardiac, neurological, and post-cardiac procedure populations
- Proficiency with vasoactive drips (within PCU/IMC scope), chest tubes, high-flow oxygen therapy, BiPAP, and CPAP
- Demonstrated time management and communication skills in fast-paced clinical environments
- Ability to participate in rapid response team activations
