Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $1,845 per week in Columbia, MO

Oversee and perform remote monitoring for selected patients by managing vendor websites and clinic scheduling systems, contacting patients via phone or portal, and sending correspondence for non-compliant patients. Perform initial post-implant device interrogation during follow-up clinic visits to educate patients on device function, communication, and remote monitoring expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently interrogate patient cardiac devices - including pacemakers, loop recorders, and defibrillators - scheduled within the clinic during office hours
• Oversee and perform remote monitoring for selected patients by managing vendor websites and clinic scheduling systems, contacting patients via phone or portal, and sending correspondence for non-compliant patients
• Triage and assess critical symptoms or device-related issues, providing immediate intervention or escalating to the appropriate provider as needed
• Perform initial post-implant device interrogation during follow-up clinic visits to educate patients on device function, communication, and remote monitoring expectations
• Problem-solve and reprogram devices as directed by electrophysiology (EP) physicians and the care team
• Fulfill essential job functions including working assigned weekends, at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract, and taking call as assigned; mandatory floating applies, including as a Patient Observer

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri or a Compact state - must be in hand at time of start
• Hands-on experience with pacemakers, loop recorders, and defibrillators - must be confirmed upon submittal
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; travelers residing 51-74 miles away may be subject to a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system preferred
• Background in electrophysiology or cardiac device clinic settings
• Familiarity with vendor remote monitoring platforms and clinic scheduling systems
