Job TitleRegistered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (19:00-07:30)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a cardiac stepdown unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and manage patients presenting with post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
- Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring, EKG, and Doppler studies
- Assist with peritoneal dialysis as part of the care team
- Document accurately using Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication frameworks
- Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state required at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Proficiency with Epic is required
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a cardiac stepdown or telemetry unit setting
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication
- Experience caring for patients with peritoneal dialysis needs
