Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Work night shift alongside a team of 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, and 2 CNAs
Monitor and manage patients requiring step-down level care, including administration of non-titratable drips
Float to Med/Surg as needed per unit guidelines
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Demonstrate resiliency, accountability, and integrity as a high-performing team member
Required Qualifications
Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required
Minimum 1 year of PCU, IMC, or step-down nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with non-titratable drips such as amiodarone and Cardizem
Tracheostomy care experience
Familiarity with progressive care or step-down unit workflows and protocols
