Job TitleRegistered Nurse - Burn & Reconstructive / PCU (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | No on-call
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Burn and Reconstructive Care Unit, including management of off-service patients in PCU status
- Care for stroke and cardiac patients in addition to burn and reconstructive cases
- Perform and manage wound dressing changes as a routine unit procedure
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3-4 in collaboration with PCTs and unit coordinators
- Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation and patient management
- Float to PCU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg zones as needed
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of Texas
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- BLS certification required
- Experience in PCU, stepdown, or IMC setting
- Ability to work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
- Please note: Time-off requests for Thanksgiving and Christmas cannot be approved due to facility staffing and scheduling needs
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a burn, reconstructive, or wound care setting
- Familiarity with stroke and cardiac patient populations
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced unit environment
