Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a stepdown/intermediate care unit during night shift hours
Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a general medical-surgical floor
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas or compact licensure eligibility
Experience in a stepdown, IMC, or PCU care setting
Current BLS certification required
Ability to work night shift hours on a PRN basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an intermediate or progressive care unit
Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and telemetry
Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
