Provide direct patient care in a 42-bed intensive care unit encompassing Neuro/Med, Cardiothoracic, and Surgical/Trauma ICU populations
Manage complex patient diagnoses including strokes, sepsis, cardiogenic shock, respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI, cardiovascular surgery, and major trauma/post-operative cases
Operate and monitor specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT (PRISMA/NxStage), ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and targeted temperature management (Arctic Sun)
Float to other units as needed, excluding Behavioral Health and the Emergency Department (unless holding)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based critical care in a fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of New York
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU)
Travel nursing experience required
Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Proficiency with CRRT and Prismaflex required
Epic EMR experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
4–5 years of ICU experience strongly preferred
Cardiac/heart experience highly preferred and prioritized during review
Experience with IABP, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and targeted temperature management devices
