Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Towson, MD

Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult, geriatric, and adolescent (ages 15–17, adult-like presentation) ICU patients across MICU, SICU, and neuro/cardiac populations. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult, geriatric, and adolescent (ages 15–17, adult-like presentation) ICU patients across MICU, SICU, and neuro/cardiac populations
• Manage complex diagnoses including MI, chest pain, pneumonia, sepsis, ARDS, cardiogenic shock, overdose, post-cath, surgical abdominal, and neuro cervical spine post-ops
• Administer and titrate all pressors and sedation drips including Epinephrine, Lidocaine, Milrinone, Precedex, Cleviprex, Nicardipine, and Propofol
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ventilators, IABP, and CRRT Next Stage; perform or assist with pronation therapy as needed
• Float to IMC, CSU, and lower-acuity areas within scope as required; travelers are first to float with no restrictions
• Work holidays as scheduled; expected to be available every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact license at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required – AHA only
• CPI certification required – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (permanent address) to be eligible; locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless the posting specifically states otherwise

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT Next Stage preferred
• Experience with pronation therapy (prone positioning) preferred
• Familiarity with IABP management in a high-acuity ICU setting
