Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care primarily in a PCU setting with float capability to the ICU across a critical care unit encompassing 48 ICU beds and 34 PCU beds on 3 separate floors
Manage ICU-level drips in the ICU setting; PCU drips include cardizem, nitro, insulin, and heparin (no pressors in PCU)
Operate and monitor ventilated patients in the ICU (no vents in PCU)
Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU and 1:3 in PCU
Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
Float as needed within the regional critical care network, with a rate differential applied when floating outside of the primary facility
Required Qualifications
Active RN license valid in the state of Washington
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU or PCU specialty
Candidates must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year
Preferred Experience / Skills
Strong Med-Surg RN background is highly valued
Experience with IABP or CRRT (not required unless candidate has prior experience)
Familiarity with all critical care diagnoses and ICU-level patient populations
Prior experience with EPIC EMR
