Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Collect and report critical patient data and lab or diagnostic findings to the physician in a timely manner, documenting all physical assessment findings accurately.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs and hospital policy.
- Advocate for patients and their families while maintaining professional communication with patients, families, peers, and nursing management.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and exercise the utmost care during all patient interactions.
- Float to additional units as directed by management, including CCU and Emergency Department.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU and Emergency Department experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
- Current NIHSS certification and Moderate Sedation certification.
- Ability to work every other weekend.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Cardiac Catheterization procedures.
- Prior experience floating across multiple critical care or acute care units.
