Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed ICU setting with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Manage ventilator settings and sedation protocols for critically ill patients
- Perform medication titration and administer complex pharmacological therapies
- Assist with and support procedures including tracheostomy placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET communication, completion of communication boards, and medication teaching
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency with ventilator and sedation management
- Experience with GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and Draeger ventilators
- Ability to float in rotation with full-time staff and other travel nurses as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU environment
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records documentation
- Experience in a Trauma III designated facility
