    Contract | Night Shifts | Every other weekend and every other holiday expected | Rotating or blocked scheduling available (orientation period followed by day and night shift rotations)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient-centered care on a combined medical-surgical and progressive care unit managing diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD, CHF, pulmonary embolism, and complex respiratory conditions
    • Perform and monitor oxygen therapy, IV medications, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and postoperative care
    • Conduct moderate sedation monitoring during bronchoscopies and provide cardiac telemetry monitoring
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including case managers, social workers, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, physical therapists, and specialty providers
    • Document patient care using Epic; administer IV fluids via Alaris pumps and manage medications through Acudose
    • Float to Med-Surg units as needed; travelers may be the first to be reassigned to another department based on census
    Required Qualifications
    • Active South Dakota RN license or compact state RN license
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Proficiency with BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow oxygen, oxygen titration, moderate sedation, telemetry, and medical-surgical patient care
    • Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility for every shift
    • Navy blue scrubs required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Specialty nursing certification (e.g., Progressive Care Nursing or Medical-Surgical Nursing)
    • Prior experience in an intermediate care (IMC) or step-down setting
    • Familiarity with Epic EMR, Alaris infusion pumps, and Acudose medication systems
    • Experience with mechanical ventilation and critical care fundamentals
