Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed ICU/CCU unit serving patients of all ages, including common diagnoses such as respiratory failure
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2–3, delivering high-acuity critical care nursing
- Utilize Cerner EHR for documentation and patient management
- Participate in weekend rotations as needed (every other weekend) and respond to call requirements as needed
- Float as required within the facility at a ratio of up to 1:6
- Maintain and apply required certifications including ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIH Stroke Scale throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure meeting all education, licensure, and certification requirements to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
- Minimum 1–2 years of ICU experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIH Stroke Scale
- Proficiency with Cerner EHR
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience managing high-acuity ICU patients
- Familiarity with respiratory failure management and related critical care protocols
- Comfort with floating and adapting to varying unit needs
