Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting, managing medical, neuro, surgical, and trauma patient populations
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; operate and monitor advanced hemodynamic support devices including Impella and IABP
- Administer and manage IV insulin protocols, IV therapy, PICC lines, arterial lines, central lines, and blood administration
- Support GI surgery patients and administer complex medication regimens
- Float to Med/Surg Telemetry as needed (PCU ratio 1:3; Tele ratio 1:4)
- Document and chart patient care accurately; EEG monitoring equipment is present in the unit
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN License (required at time of submission)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
- Experience with medical, neuro, surgical, and trauma patient populations; dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS and/or CCRN certification
- Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) experience
- Two supervisor references preferred
