Registered Nurse – ICU (Float Pool)

Contract | Rotating Day/Night Shifts | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30 Days / 19:00–7:30 Nights)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in ICU settings as part of a float pool, rotating across TCUs, ICUs, ED, and PACU as needed
- Float to multiple departments and facilities within the health system based on staffing needs
- Deliver high-acuity nursing care in alignment with teaching hospital standards and protocols
- Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- Teaching hospital experience required
- 2 completed references from most recent employer required at time of submission
- Any prior employment with a University of California medical facility or affiliated facility must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
- Local candidates are accepted and are eligible on the same basis as travel candidates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2.5 or more years of ICU experience
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
