    Registered Nurse – ICU (Float Pool)

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Rotating Day/Night Shifts (3x12-Hour Shifts) | Day: 7:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–7:30

    Key Responsibilities
    • Independently manage complex critical care patients, including those requiring advanced mechanical circulatory and multi-organ support devices
    • Provide bedside ECMO care as primary RN responsibility, including management without dedicated bedside perfusion support
    • Float to all ICUs, TCUs, Emergency Department, and PACU as assigned within the float pool model
    • Operate and monitor advanced support devices including IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters
    • Deliver specialized care to cardiovascular, cardiothoracic surgery, and transplant patient populations
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and maintain strong interpersonal communication across departments
    Required Qualifications
    • Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submission)
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
    • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Minimum 4 years of recent ICU experience (CVICU, CTICU, or CCU)
    • ECMO experience within the last 6 months to 1 year, including bedside RN responsibility without dedicated perfusion support
    • Teaching hospital experience required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with VA ECMO, VV ECMO, and V-PA ECMO configurations; CRRT (NxStage); IABP (Teleflex); Impella; and Ventricular Assist Devices
    • Experience with heart failure, cardiogenic shock, prostacyclin therapies, pulmonary artery catheters, and cardiothoracic surgery recovery
    • Heart and/or lung transplant experience, including bridge-to-transplant populations
    • Academic medical center experience and demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple support devices (e.g., ECMO + CRRT, ECMO + Impella)
