Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting, delivering high-acuity nursing services across assigned shifts
- May be required to float to like units or lower-acuity units across multiple campuses as needed (excluding the ED)
- Expected to work 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the associated holiday weekend
- Complete all assigned non-billable compliance modules by the designated deadline each week
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License in hand at time of submittal (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA)
- AHA BLS certification required
- AHA ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of concurrent experience in ICU specialty
- Travel nursing experience required
- EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO); no new RTO requests after submittal
- 1 supervisory-level reference required at time of submission
- Must not live within 100 miles of the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating across ICU, SDU, and Telemetry units
- Familiarity with multi-campus health system environments
- Prompt interview availability, including time zone, within the same day and next 3 business days
