Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct critical care nursing to ICU patients, including management of complex and high-acuity cases
- Perform and assist with typical ICU procedures including central line management, bronchoscopy, and bedside tracheostomies
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Float to other ICU units or areas within the facility as needed when census is low, functioning as a competent nurse in alternate settings
- Adhere to all unit guidelines including attendance, floating, and weekend scheduling policies
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of critical care (ICU) nursing experience
- Minimum 2 years of hospital or travel nursing experience
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (temporary licenses are not accepted)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Willingness to comply with facility floating policy and weekend shift requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Rotoprone therapy
- CRRT experience, specifically with Prismaflex
- Prior experience with Meditech electronic health records system
