Travel Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Contract / Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intensive Care Unit setting, managing critically ill patients across a range of acuities
- Perform and assist with advanced procedures including CABG, IABP, IMPELLA, CRRT, Therapeutic Hypothermia, Rotoprone, and mechanical ventilation
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Meditech; adhere to medication scanning and controlled substance policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float to other units as required in accordance with facility floating policy
- Maintain compliance with unit-specific guidelines including attendance, dress code, and acknowledgement policies
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Texas RN License (temporary licenses are not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU / critical care experience
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Current ACLS certification (required)
- NIH Stroke certification (required)
- Proficiency with Meditech documentation system, medication scanning, and controlled substance protocols
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Hands-on experience with IABP, IMPELLA, CRRT, and/or Rotoprone therapy
- Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new environments
