    Job Title

    ICU Registered Nurse (MICU) – Nights

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU at a Level III Trauma Center, managing high-acuity adult patients with diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, DKA, GI bleed, renal failure, cardiogenic shock, and substance abuse/overdose
    • Maintain RN-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 in the ICU setting, adjusting to 1:4 or 1:5 when floating to Medical/Surgical units
    • Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed, managing up to 4–5 patients per assignment
    • Read and interpret telemetry strips accurately in both ICU and float assignments
    • Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the EPIC electronic medical records system
    • Collaborate with attending physicians and residents who are present in the ICU 24 hours per day
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum of 2 years of continuous adult MICU experience
    • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
    • Willingness and ability to float to Medical/Surgical units as required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 2+ years of continuous experience in a single MICU setting
    • Prior experience with EPIC EMR
    • Familiarity with a wide range of adult critical care diagnoses including cardiogenic shock and respiratory failure
