    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center, managing high-acuity adult patients with diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, DKA, GI bleed, renal failure, cardiogenic shock, and substance abuse/overdose
    • Maintain RN-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 for high-acuity ICU patients, with attendings and residents present in the unit 24 hours per day
    • Float to Medical/Surgical units as required, managing up to 4–5 patients per assignment
    • Read and interpret telemetry strips accurately in both ICU and floated Med/Surg settings
    • Document all patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of continuous adult MICU experience in a single location
    • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
    • Telemetry competency required for floating to Med/Surg units
    • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with EPIC EMR charting system
    • Prior experience floating to Medical/Surgical units
    • Familiarity with a broad range of adult critical care diagnoses including cardiogenic shock and respiratory failure
