Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 6-bed Intensive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric populations
- Monitor, assess, and manage critically ill patients including those with diagnoses such as COPD exacerbation
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the Meditech EHR system
- Float to other units as required based on facility staffing needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or a compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Current required certifications applicable to ICU practice
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Ability to float to additional units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Meditech electronic health record system
- Experience caring for geriatric and adult critical care patient populations
- Familiarity with managing COPD exacerbation and similar acute respiratory conditions
