    Registered Nurse (RN) – Trauma ICU

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Nights | Onsite | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide comprehensive, individualized nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients — including those with traumatic injuries such as spinal cord injuries, TBI, extremity fractures, and solid organ injuries — as well as post-surgical patients including craniotomies, craniectomies, and bowel surgeries.
    • Utilize the nursing process — assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation — to deliver optimal patient outcomes across an entire episode of care.
    • Demonstrate cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the patient population served, meeting unit and department age-specific competency standards.
    • Coordinate care collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, incorporating patients' families and caregivers into care planning when appropriate.
    • Exercise intensive clinical judgment and decision-making in a high-acuity, fast-paced Trauma ICU environment.
    • Float to other areas of the organization up to competency level as needed, and fulfill scheduling requirements including weekends, holidays, and one additional shift per four-week schedule period.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start date.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification through APEX.
    • Minimum of 2 years of Trauma ICU experience required to be considered.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CCRN certification strongly preferred.
    • Experience working in a high-volume, Level II or higher trauma center environment.
    • Familiarity caring for complex surgical and neurological patient populations.
